What we collect, what we do with it, and what we never do. We do not sell your information. Not ever.
Last updated: July 2026
We do not sell your information. Ever. Not to lead lists, not to vendors, not to anybody.
What we collect. What you type into the inquiry form and your planning questionnaires (names, email, phone, date, venue, guest count, timeline, vendor list, the details of your day), plus the usual web stuff your browser hands over automatically.
Session recording, so you know. We run Microsoft Clarity, which records mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling so we can see where the site trips people up. It masks what you type. Section 5 shows you how to shut it off if you'd rather.
Ads. We run Meta and Google ads. Those platforms use your visit to target. Texas and California law call that "targeted advertising" and give you an opt-out. Section 5 has the links.
Your wedding photos are personal data. Section 4 covers what we do with them, how portfolio use works, and how to tell us you'd rather stay private. Wanting privacy is a normal request and it costs nothing.
Your guests. We photograph people at your wedding who never signed anything with us. If one of them wants their face out of our marketing, they email us and we pull it.
Your vendors. We share your timeline with your planner and venue because that's how a wedding day works. We share what the job needs and nothing else.
Kids at weddings. We photograph them. We don't put a minor in our marketing without a parent's okay.
Your rights. See it, fix it, delete it, get a copy, opt out. Email us. If we say no, you can appeal, and Section 11 tells you how.
Full policy below.
1.1 GR Weddings is a division and assumed name of Gabe Rene LLC, a Texas limited liability company based in Kerrville, Texas. Gabe Rene LLC is the controller of the personal information described here.
1.2 This Policy covers grweddings.com, related subdomains, client portals and galleries, and the information we collect in the course of photographing and filming weddings.
1.3 The general Gabe Rene LLC Privacy Policy at gaberene.com/privacy also applies. Where the two conflict on a GR Weddings matter, this Policy controls.
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Identity and contact | Your names, partner or spouse name, email, phone, mailing address |
| Wedding details | Date, venue, ceremony and reception locations, guest count, timeline, getting-ready locations |
| Planning information | Vendor list and contacts, family and VIP lists, must-have shot lists, family dynamics you flag, dietary or accessibility needs, style references |
| Questionnaire responses | Answers to the Gettin' To Know You questionnaire, the pre-wedding worksheet, and any planning form |
| Transaction information | Invoice and payment records, amounts, dates, and status |
| Communications | Email, text, form messages, call and meeting notes |
| Content you send | Reference images, inspiration, documents, and files |
| Marketing preferences | Subscription status and communication preferences |
Sensitive details. Couples sometimes tell us things like a family estrangement, a health issue, a recently deceased parent, or an accessibility need. We appreciate it and we need it to do the job well. We use it only to plan and shoot your day, we share it only with the crew who need it, and we do not put it anywhere it does not belong.
3.1 We and our providers automatically collect IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen size, language, referring URL, pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, clicks, navigation paths, and dates and times of access.
3.2 Microsoft Clarity records mouse movement, clicks, taps, and scrolling during your visit and gives us anonymized session replays and heatmaps. Clarity masks text input by default.
3.3 Advertising and conversion data is collected by Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, and Meta, including through server-side Conversions API events, to measure and attribute advertising.
3.4 We collect this through cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and server logs, deployed via Google Tag Manager.
4.1 Photographing you is the service. An image of you is personal information about you and we handle it accordingly.
4.2 What we do with your images and film. We capture, edit, color grade, back up, store, and deliver them. We keep redundant backups across multiple drives and cloud storage, because losing a wedding is not a recoverable mistake.
4.3 Portfolio and marketing. We may use selected images and film from your wedding in our portfolio, on our websites, on social media, in printed samples and albums, in proposals, in advertising, and in submissions to publications and competitions. This is governed by your signed agreement.
4.4 You can opt out, and it costs nothing. If you would rather your wedding never appear publicly, tell us before or after the wedding. We note it and we honor it completely. Some couples are private, some have jobs or family situations that make publicity a problem, and none of that is our business. Email info@gaberene.com.
4.5 Wedding guests. We photograph guests who are not our clients and who have not signed anything with us. Our basis is our legitimate interest in performing our contract with the couple and documenting the event. If you were a guest and you want your image excluded from our marketing, email info@gaberene.com with the couple's names and the date, and we will honor it. We cannot pull an image already delivered to the couple, already printed in their album, or already shared by them, and we will tell you honestly what we can and cannot reach.
4.6 Vendors at your wedding. We photograph the work of your florist, planner, baker, and venue. We share that work with them for their own marketing when they ask, with credit. If you would rather we did not, tell us.
4.7 Recordings of planning calls. We may take notes or record planning and discovery calls to build your timeline and shot plan. We tell you before recording and we do not record without your agreement.
5.1 Categories in use: strictly necessary, analytics and performance (Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity), advertising (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, with Pinterest and LinkedIn planned), and functional.
5.2 Your controls:
| Control | How |
|---|---|
| Cookies generally | Block or delete in your browser. Core site functions still work. |

| Google advertising | adssettings.google.com |
| Industry opt-out | optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org |
| Mobile device | "Limit Ad Tracking" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" |
5.3 Global Privacy Control. We honor the GPC signal as a valid opt-out of targeted advertising and sharing where applicable law requires.
5.4 We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track," as there is no consistent industry standard for it. We do respond to GPC.
5.5 Where required, we operate Google Consent Mode v2.
We may receive information about you from your planner, venue, or other vendors; from a social media platform when you interact with us there; from a couple who refers you; from advertising and analytics partners in aggregated or hashed form; and from payment processors confirming transaction status.
To respond to inquiries and send proposals; to enter into and perform your agreement; to plan, staff, schedule, and shoot your wedding; to edit, deliver, host, and back up your images and film; to invoice and keep financial records; to support and communicate with you; to send marketing you opted into; to operate, secure, and improve the Site; to measure advertising; to use selected work in our portfolio subject to Section 4; to protect our rights and prevent fraud; and to comply with law.
Relevant to destination weddings and to any client in Europe or the UK.
| Basis | Used for |
|---|---|
| Contract | Performing your agreement and taking pre-contract steps at your request |
| Legitimate interests | Operating our business, documenting the event for the contracting couple, marketing to past clients, securing our sites |
| Consent | Marketing email and SMS, non-essential cookies, call recording, and portfolio use where consent is the basis |
| Legal obligation | Tax, accounting, and record-keeping |
You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing before withdrawal.
9.1 We do not sell personal information and have not in the preceding twelve months.
9.2 We share with:

|---|---|
| Dubsado | CRM, proposals, contracts, invoices, questionnaires |

| Flodesk | Email marketing, opt-in contacts only |
| Google (Tag Manager, Analytics, Ads, Workspace, Search Console) | Analytics, advertising, email, search performance |
| Meta | Advertising and conversion measurement |

| Netlify | Website hosting |

| Your vendors | Timeline and logistics shared with your planner, venue, DJ, or coordinator, limited to what the day requires |
| Professional advisors and insurers | As needed |
| Legal recipients | As required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect safety |
| A successor | In a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business |
9.3 Targeted advertising. We run Google and Meta ads. Under Texas and California law, disclosing identifiers to those platforms for advertising may count as "targeted advertising," and under the CCPA as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, even though we receive no money. You may opt out. See Sections 5.2 and 10.
10.1 We extend these rights to anyone who asks, client or guest, regardless of residency:
| Right | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Know and access | Confirm what we hold and get a copy |
| Correct | Fix inaccurate information |
| Delete | Have your personal information deleted |
| Portability | Get your data in a portable format |
| Opt out of targeted advertising | Stop use of your data for targeted ads |
| Opt out of sale | We do not sell, but the right stands |
| Withdraw consent | Where consent is our basis |
| Non-discrimination | Exercising a right changes nothing about your service or price |
| Restrict or object (EU and UK) | Restrict or object to certain processing |
| Complain (EU and UK) | Lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority |
10.2 How. Email info@gaberene.com with the subject "Privacy Request," or write to the address in Section 17. Tell us what you want and enough for us to find your records.
10.3 Verification. We verify proportionally, usually by confirming details already in our records or emailing the address on file. For a guest requesting removal from our marketing, describing the wedding and the image is enough.
10.4 Timing. Forty-five (45) days, extendable once by another forty-five (45) with notice. EU and UK: one (1) month, extendable by two (2) months for complex requests.
10.5 Limits on deletion. We may decline deletion where we must keep information to complete a transaction, comply with law, exercise or defend legal claims, maintain tax and financial records, or where the information is part of a photograph in which we hold copyright and which is subject to an existing license to the couple. We will tell you the specific reason.
10.6 Cost. Free once per twelve-month period. We may charge for or decline manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive requests, with an explanation.
11.1 If we decline your request, email info@gaberene.com with the subject "Privacy Appeal," including your original request and why you disagree.
11.2 We respond in writing within sixty (60) days with our reasons.
11.3 If we deny the appeal, you may complain to the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov/consumer-protection, or to the authority in your jurisdiction.
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Inquiries that never book | Up to 3 years |
| Client records and correspondence | Term of the project plus 7 years |
| Financial and tax records | 7 years |
| Signed agreements and releases | Indefinitely, as proof of rights granted |
| Online galleries | Per your agreement. They expire on the date stated there. |
| Original files (our archive) | Retained as part of our creative archive, subject to your agreement and to any deletion request we can honor |
| Marketing list membership | Until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record |
| Analytics and advertising | Per platform settings, generally 14 months in GA4 |
Download your gallery and back it up in two places. The gallery is delivery, not archival storage, and it is not your backup.
13.1 We use reasonable safeguards: encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS), access controls and strong authentication on business accounts, password-protected galleries, redundant encrypted backups on multiple drives and in cloud storage, dual card slots in camera on shoot day, and need-to-know access limits.
13.2 No system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13.3 We will notify affected individuals and authorities of a breach as required by law, including Texas Business and Commerce Code ยง 521.053.
14.1 The Site is intended for users 18 and older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13.
14.2 We photograph minors at weddings constantly. Flower girls, ring bearers, cousins, the kid asleep under a table at 10pm. We do this in the course of documenting the day, with the couple's engagement of our services.
14.3 We do not publish a minor's image in our marketing without a parent or legal guardian's permission. A parent or guardian may withdraw permission for future use at any time by emailing info@gaberene.com, and may request that we remove an image we have already published.
We are in the United States and process information here. If you are outside the United States, or if we shoot your wedding abroad, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA or UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or an Article 49 derogation, which for a destination wedding is generally the necessity of the transfer to perform our contract with you.
The Site links to third-party sites, platforms, vendors, and a Google reviews feed. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies.
17.1 We may update this Policy. We will change the "Last updated" date and give additional notice for material changes.
