Why we started this
Most wedding photography is boring as hell.
Same poses, same clichés, same “look at each other and laugh at nothing.” Hard pass. We shoot weddings the way they actually feel from the middle of one: sweaty, overwhelmed, stupidly happy.
Gabe
The one who won't sit still.
Gabe runs the whole damn circus at Gabe Rene LLC and shoots both photo and film. ADHD-creative energy, permanently three moves ahead, already halfway across the room before the moment even happens.
Born and raised on San Antonio’s SW Side, Kerrville since 2002. Obsessive about getting it right, allergic to “good enough.” His name’s on every gallery, so nothing leaves the door that isn’t damn good.
Kerrville voted him Best Photographer in the Readers Choice Best of Awards in 2023 and again in 2025. Nobody submits an entry for that one. The town just picks.
Kyle · Navy Veteran
The calm to Gabe's chaos.
Kyle’s the fiancé, the second shooter, and the reason Gabe hasn’t spontaneously combusted at a reception yet. Born and raised right here in the Hill Country, and a Navy veteran, which explains the steady hands and the fact that nothing on a wedding day rattles him. Steady hands, sharp eye, keeps the whole day feeling easy while Gabe’s off chasing light like a man possessed.
Two shooters who actually know each other means both sides of every moment: your face and your partner’s, same second. And planning our own wedding taught us exactly what couples need. Be early, be prepared, don’t make it weird.
Put us together at a wedding and something clicks. One of us is reading the room, the other’s already framing the shot. We finish each other’s sentences and each other’s frames. Oh, and Kyle already knows exactly where I’m gonna want my light.
